Pro B-day Pics

We took Noah to the park for some pro pics to celebrate his upcoming birthday. Not ALL the pics are available yet, but my photographer put some on his blog:

Right now, Noah's at the top of the page, but it's the June 30th entry entitled "Fun to Be One" in case it gets moved.

Here's a preview:

Babies R Us - Corporate Response to BPA Bottles

These bottles have not been recalled. We are within FDA guidelines. We intend to have all BPA products out of our store by the end of the year.

You can contact your local store, but, I cannot promise that they would exchange them. I am sorry for any inconvenience this causes you.

If you have other questions, please call 1-800-869-7787.

Boy, I don't like the answer OR the tone with which it was given! LOL

BPA-Free Feeder System

In light of the BPA stuff that's all over the news now, I thought some of you might be interested in the following:

They're bottles/sippy cups/straw feeders all-in-one AND they're non-toxic.

I just ordered a few of them, so hopefully they're as good as they seem online :-)

We finally chose a car seat!

After a ton of researching and price hunting we finally decided on a car seat! Yesterday, I ordered a Britax Boulevard!!! I'm really excited about it. Noah technically has another 3-4 pounds in his current seat, but I'm probably gonna install it when I get it anyways :-)

Thanks to all of you who provided input... it was very helpful!

Baby Proofing

Noah's isn't crawling yet, but it doesn't seem like it's going to be too long, so we want to begin baby proofing. He's our first child, so we don't have experience with this, so I thought I'd seek input.

I figure we'd start with the outlet covers and cabinet locks for sure now... we have a little while before we have to get the doorknob covers and stuff like that. Any other MUST haves for the crawling stage? I'd love to just go buy it all now, but it's so pricey to do it all at once, so we're going gradually.

Also, One Step Ahead seems to have pretty good prices, but I wanted to see if anyone else had other recommendations.

Hello Bandwagon, here I come!

Noah's Info:

  • Both a Breast and Formula Boy. He eats about 6-8 boobie servings a day and 2-3 bottles.

  • No solids yet, but the doctor said we could start the rice cereal thing in the next few weeks, then move into fruits right around his 6 month check-up.

  • As of yesterday's 4 month check-up, he weighs 15lbs and 12 ozs (70th percentile) and is 27 inches long (95th percentile)

  • His big head (17 inches) puts him in the 95th percentile for that too. No wonder he ended up being delivered via emergency c-section...

  • He naps in his swing and sometimes starts the night there before transferring over to the co-sleeper in our room. We're JUST starting to get him in the crib at night and for naps.

  • He's circumsized

  • He wears disposable diapers

  • He's vaccinated on schedule

  • He doesn't "cry it out"

  • He's literally the cutest baby I've ever seen in person...

  • Here he is enjoying his Bumbo!
